Biography

Janne Wallenius is Professor of Reactor Physics at KTH – Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

He holds a PhD in quantum chemistry from Uppsala University. His research interests are transmutation of nuclear waste, subcritical core design, nuclear fuel development and modelling of radiation damage. He has written more than 40 peer reviewed papers on nuclear energy and is a regular panellist in nuclear conferences around the world. Janne Wallenius appears regularly on Swedish radio and television where he is a much sought after expert on all aspects of nuclear energy. He also gives public lectures on the transmutation of nuclear waste.
