Biography
| Biography |
Albert holds post graduate degrees in natural sciences as well as human capital management. This dualism is probably on account of being a Gemini but also through his conviction that “conservation-is-about-people”. Furthermore he has a conservation ethic stemming from his knowledge “from-within” as a survival expert in bushveld, desert and the marine environments and as a conservationist that has worked and been bitten extensively throughout southern Africa with national and international conservation institutions. Most lately he has been involved in research and working with Climate change and carbon economies, forest genetic resources and its sustainable economic value to local communities. He has realized sustainable economies based on re-aforestation, soil enhancement and alien invasive management. The programme is gaining momentum within scientific, business and government circles and it stands to bring conservation driven livelihoods to poor people while addressing the global threats of climate change. He has also presented sustainability plans to parliament regarding climate change policy and carbon sequestration. Albert currently advises on a solar/wind energy project and he grows forest and soil carbon in an attempt to help save the world. |
