Eivind Hoff

Eivind Hoff joined the Brussels office of The Bellona Foundation in late 2007. He is dealing mainly with climate change-related issues, in particular policies for international financing of climate change measures. This includes both the global dimension under the UNFCCC umbrella and financing at the European level.

Eivind came to Bellona from WWF’s Trade and Investment Programme, where he had been working since 2005. His work focussed on multilateral trade rules, and he also initiated and led a research project on CO2 embodied in international trade.

Before joining the environmental movement on a professional basis, he was a member of the national board of the youth movement of Friends of the Earth Norway. Eivind has also worked for the EFTA Secretariat in Brussels and for the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry.

He holds his undergraduate degree from Sciences-Po Bordeaux and a master’s degree in European studies from the College of Europe. He is currently finalising an LLM in public international law at the University of London.
