Christian Kjaer

Christian Kjaer was appointed Chief Executive Officer of EWEA in March 2006. He had previously held the post of Policy Director for EWEA and had worked on a wide range of policy issues for the association during an assignment in 2002. Christian steers the work of the organisation. He drafts EWEA's direction, vision and long-term strategy in collaboration with the President and the Executive Committee. He is responsible for their implementation and for reporting EWEA's strategic output to the Board. His responsibilities also include ensuring that EWEA's political impact and reputation as a trustworthy partner in the policy-making process is sustained. He represents the association in external forums, engages actively with the international institutions, the key stakeholders and NGOs, the members of EWEA and the media.
