Jacques de Selliers

Jacques de Selliers is the Founder and Vice-Chairman of GreenFacts asbl, an independent non-profit organisation which faithfully popularises leading scientific reports on environment and health topics at www.greenfacts.org.

He graduated in electrical engineering at the Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1979, and then worked in the private sector, four tears on oil rigs in Africa and 15 years as a R&D engineer in USA and Belgium. He then occupied technical management positions where he felt the need for reliable and accessible scientific information on environment and health topics. In 1999, he initiated the concept of the GreenFacts website, developed its unique Three-Level Structure of presentation, and in 2001 founded GreenFacts which he managed until May 2007.

Jacques de Selliers is also a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists and a Board member of the EU Chapter of the Club of Rome.
