Peter Löffler

Peter Löffler is an environmental and spatial planning engineer and he also holds a PhD in social science. Born in Germany, he moved in 1997 to Brussels to work for 4 years for the European Sustainable Cities & Towns Campaign, a network of more than 2000 local authorities. He then became a policy analyst, project manager and public affairs manager for of COGEN Europe, the trade association of the European cogeneration industry. In 2005 Peter joined the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) where he is currently the Head of Sector for communications. The EACI manages a European SME network and EU funding programmes on intelligent energy, sustainable freight transport and eco-innovation on behalf of the European Commission. Peter and his family live in Brussels.
