Samuele Furfari

Dr. Furfari received his PhD in Applied Sciences from Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1982. He also holds degrees in Chemical Engineering (Université Libre de Bruxelles, 1978) and Industrial Engineering (Université du Travail de Charleroi, 1975). He has been working with the energy sector of the European Commission since 1982 and has been involved in a number of projects dealing with such things as sustainable energies, clean coal technologies, and financing a low-carbon economy. He is currently a professor of Energy Geopolitics at Université Libre de Bruxelles and is the author of two books on the subject.
