Alexandra Brintrup

Dr. Alexandra Melike Brintrup is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Cambridge, Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory within the Institute for Manufacturing. Alexandra read manufacturing systems engineering at the University of the West of England Bristol, received her masters degree in software techniques for engineering in 2003, and computer science Ph.D. degree in 2007, from Cranfield University, UK. During this period she worked for the Vaillant Group and for the ABN AMRO Bank. She is currently leading work in various industrial and EU funded projects on multi-agent systems and distributed information. Her research interests lie in computational intelligence and optimisation in engineering design, manufacturing systems and supply chains.
