Marco Sorgetti
A native Turinese, after college education I became an entrepreneur in freight forwarding, a field where I was active for over thirty years.
In the early 80’s I became involved in trade associations: Apsaci (Turin), Fedespedi (Milan) and Confetra (Rome) in Italy and Fiata at international level. In the meantime I became member of the Board of the Turin Chamber of Commerce.
Trade facilitation has always been high on my professional agenda. I have been a teacher in logistics, international trade and transport regulations. In more than one occasion I have published articles and contributed to technical transport and trade publications. I published my own book in 2002, a manual for transport and logistics practitioners.
In 2003, I moved to Brussels, where I became the director general of Clecat, the European Freight Forwarders and Customs Agents international association.
