Professor Enzo Tiezzi

Enzo Tiezzi has been full professor of physical chemistry in the Faculty of Science of the University of Siena since 1979 where he coordinates the research doctorate in chemistry and Chemistry for Sustainable Development at Siena University.

He gave the plenary lecture at the FIAT International Conference in 1996 and has been invited to speak in Dublin, Madras, Florida University, Krakow, Lyon, London, Cadiz and many other venues.

In the 1980’s he was part of the group of 25 scientists who developed the concept of sustainable development, meeting in Stockholm and Barcelona and later at the World Bank in Washington and finally at the ASPEN Institute in the U.S.

Enzo Tiezzi has written more than 20 books, many of which have been translated and published in other languages. The End of Time, The Essence of Time, Beauty and Science, Steps Towards an Evolutionary Physics, City out of Chaos, Plus and Minus of Sustainability and Mister Hyde Strikes Again were recently published in English (WIT press). He is also the author of more than 500 scientific papers.
