Erika Mink
Erika Mink - Environment Director, Tetra Pak International
Erika Mink is the Environment Director for Tetra Pak in Europe. She heads up the company’s European Affairs office in Brussels, which is part of Tetra Pak Commercial Operations.
Erika joined Tetra Pak in 2000 and is responsible for the development and implementation of a proactive corporate environment EU Affairs strategy in policy areas such sustainable production and consumption, environmental product information, waste and resource management.
Erika is responsible for the coordination of environmental affairs in local Tetra Pak organisations in Europe (EU 27), Russia and Ukraine and manages relationships with key European stakeholders such as the European Commission, the European Parliament and European Council.
She serves a president of the Alliance for Beverage Carton and the Environment (ACE) and on the board of the European Association for Packaging and the Environment (EUROPEN).
Prior to joining Tetra Pak, Erika worked for the international consulting company ERM Lahmeyer International GmbH in Germany where she advised global clients on issues such as environmental management, technology transfer and waste management.
Erika Mink received her Dipl.-Ing. (equiv. to M.Sc. in Engineering) from the University of Applied Sciences, Giessen-Friedberg, School of Environmental Engineering and Industrial Hygiene (Germany). She also studied at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, in Environmental Sciences and Civil Engineering (USA).
